All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 hours of free early education or childcare per year. Our company operates this as 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year (term time only).
The date you can start claiming depends on your child’s birthday.
|Child’s birthday||When you can claim|
|1 January to 31 March||The beginning of term on or after 1 April|
|1 April to 31 August||The beginning of term on or after 1 September|
|1 September to 31 December||The beginning of term on or after 1 January|
Example: If your child was born on 15 February 2015. You can get universal childcare entitlement when the next term starts, after 1 April 2018.
As a company we will automatically begin this claim process for you. You will be asked to provide some evidence such as your child's birth certificate and proof of address. All parents are also required to fill in a Parental Declaration form for the Local Authority, which we will provide. You can claim at more than one setting, but cannot exceed 15 hours in total.
