WHAT OUR PARENTS SAY ABOUT US...
To everyone at cotton tails. There has never been a day when Kian has not wanted to go to nursery.
Cotton Tails Nurseries is a group of three private day care facilities, we cater for children aged 0-5. Each setting is unique in its layout and was individually designed.
Nicola and David Cotton established their company in response to a need for high quality in the local area.
Happy Days opened in 1991, followed by Cotton Tails in 1996 and Cotton Tails Too in 2001.
Nicola and David have their own family of 3 teenage children and one small child. Having a younger child keeps them in touch with the needs of the younger age group and Nicola has continued to keep herself updated on the most current nursery practice by furthering her qualifications. Nicola has recently achieved a BA(hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies.
We pride ourselves in the appearance and up-keep of our nurseries. All of which are bright, colourful and welcoming. We regularly update our equipment and resources. Our outdoor play areas have all recently been redesigned to a high specification. Providing an eclectic mixture of equipment, helping to enhance your child's development and love of the outdoors. Throughout our time in business we have consistently achieved the highest recognition by registered bodies and pride ourselves in strong parent partnership. Links to our most recent Ofsted reports are found on this home page along with comments from our parents.
We invest a lot of time in our staff team, and continually provide opportunities to further their knowledge and development. This could be through long term qualification routes or short courses and in-house training. Some of our more recent training has been – safeguarding children, speech and language awareness, Makaton, Child Protection, Food Hygiene and First Aid. The managers at each site have been supported to achieve higher levels of qualification. At both Cotton Tails and Cotton Tails Too the managers have formal management qualifications and at the Happy Days site the manager has achieved a BA (hons) degree. We have regularly been asked to share examples of good practice with other settings in Birmingham, and have been illustrated in the Councils literature.
