Cotton Tails Quinton, formerly Happy Days Nursery, in Quinton, Birmingham has been welcoming little ones since 1991. We care for children aged 0–5 in a safe, happy, and sociable environment where they can grow and thrive.
Open Monday to Friday, 7:30am–6pm, 52 weeks a year (excluding Bank Holidays), we value strong parent partnerships and have an open-door policy for families.
Our three-storey nursery has four rooms and a secure outdoor area where children enjoy daily active play. Meals and nappies are included, with fresh, healthy food prepared on-site.
We are proud of our Good Ofsted rating and recognition with the Birmingham City Council Healthy Setting Award, and continue our commitment to quality care through the Startwell scheme.

Our Baby Room is a warm, homely space where little ones can explore, play, and grow. Babies enjoy messy play, painting, singing, music, and sensory activities, while we support their first steps and early communication using Makaton.
The Tweenie Room is a lively space for curious toddlers, with areas for messy play, building, and imaginative fun. Children are offered a wide range of activities to stimulate and support their holistic development, while also taking first steps towards independence, including potty training.
Our Pre-School Room focuses on play-based learning guided by the EYFS framework, children’s ideas, and home experiences. We nurture language, friendships, and emotional skills, with time to rest when needed. The room has its own bathroom and changing area, supporting children to be confidently out of nappies before moving up.
Our School Room focuses on independence and preparing children for ‘big school’. Through our teacher’s helper system, children take on daily responsibilities and enjoy activities like tooth-brushing, community outings, and a Christmas Nativity. The bright room, with its own bathroom, values every child’s contributions and helps them leave confident and ready for the next step.
Our experienced manager, Rachel Jarrett, leads Cotton Tails Quinton and has been part of the team since 2009, progressing from Room Coordinator to Deputy Manager, and now Manager. Passionate about safeguarding and supporting children’s learning, she is supported by Lucy Moore, our Duty Manager.
