We think it is highly important to encourage all staff to develop strong links with the families of the children in their individual key group.
Even though day to day life is busy, we try and encourage parents to engage with the setting as much as possible. We achieve this in a variety of different ways:
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They regulate and inspect to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people and in education and skills for learners of all ages.
Ofsted inspect our settings and carry out the regulatory visits to ensure that we effectively support children through the EYFS and deliver the aims of the framework. Following an inspection of a setting, the nursery receives a full report documenting the inspectors’ findings.

The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is applied in all of our nursery rooms.
It is adapted within the age bands to meet the needs of each child. All activities are play based and fun. Our under 2’s age groups focus on the prime areas of learning:
As the children progress through the nursery, we also introduce the specific areas of learning. These are:
The children are supported uniquely throughout their transition from room to room; we follow their journey and keep an on-going memento of their time with us in the form of a Memory Book. You will access this each month as you review their assessments and learn how you can support your child at home.
Our staff team are carefully selected following strict recruitment procedures. Where possible, we always try and promote from within and currently all of our senior team members have been put in place following progression and strengths developed during their time with us. Our team members are always supported to develop their knowledge and/or their qualifications.
Staff information is displayed around the nursery, such as their photographs, qualifications and a little bit of information about the roles they carry out. You will always receive formal introductions to the staff when you join us or when your child progresses from room to room.
